When should I run a legal check?
Before launch and whenever the agent changes what it does, who it serves or where it operates. Each of those can bring new regulations into scope.
Can I share the result with a customer or my legal team?
Yes. Download the current set as a PDF, or request the full report with citations.
Does passing the check mean my agent is compliant?
No. It is a best-effort view of what may apply, not a finding of compliance. Meeting and evidencing obligations stays with you, and you should confirm anything you rely on with a lawyer.
What does undetermined mean?
The obligation turns on a fact about your agent that you have not told us, such as whether it handles health data or serves users in a given state. Each one carries a question intended to resolve it. We do not guess, because a guessed no could quietly remove a real obligation.
Is this legal advice?
No, and under no circumstances should you treat it as legal advice. It is a best-effort, automated service with limitations of coverage, timing, interpretation and accuracy, which we are working to improve. It covers regulatory obligations only, and we make no guarantees about its results. Check anything you intend to rely on with a qualified lawyer; the results page can introduce you to one.
